Represent the company in corporate events, industrial meets, trade shows and marketing conferences.
Continuously update the balanced score card system for evaluating the quality of all products, consumer satisfaction levels and internal operation systems.
Keeps promotional materials ready by coordinating requirements with all cross functional departments, merchandise inventory stock check; placing orders; & verifying receipt.
Monitors budgets by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.

Ensuring the proper negotiation of contracts, risk management, property administration and organization, and provide advice on corporate governance issues to both Management and Board.
Interpret and communicate to management policies laid down by the Board of Directors and Government and monitor the implementation of such policies.
To maintain full record of all Company Assets and ensure their safe protection.
Responsible for public relations of the company. Supervise the Purchasing function to ensure that the operations are in conformity with the policies of the Company.
Responsible for the Security of the company’s physical assets and IP (Intellectual Property).
Requirement:
An appropriate degree in Law
A post graduate diploma in legal practice.
Membership of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators will be an added advantage.
Should have working experience of at least eight (8) years in legal practice of which three (3) should be as Head of Corporate Legal & Regulatory Division
Should possess excellent communication skills to people at all levels and backgrounds

JOB PURPOSE:
Support the Logistics and Procurement functions of ICU operations using the existing policies and procedures to achieve efficacy of ICU programs delivery.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Offer leadership in the logistics department with guidance from the Operations Director.
Receive all requests for procurements from all departments, review and submit them to finance and Operations Director for review and approval.
Undertake procurement of all goods and services requested for various departments within ICU
Monitor and ensure that all the procurement activities are in line with the available budgets and are executed in accordance with the existing procurement and logistics policies.
Coordinate procurement planning with departmental heads and/or managers of sectors to ensure procurement plans are submitted in a timely manner for effective and timely delivery of goods.
Update relevant departments on the procurement status of goods and services requested.
Prepare all relevant procurement documents e.g. purchase requests, request for quotations, purchase order, invoices, receipts and delivery notes for submission to finance for payments and filing.
Analyze quotations end conduct supplier selection for goods and services that fall within disbursements levels recommended for submission to the Operations Director.
Responsible for developing, managing and monitoring of the general operational budget.
Take a lead role in supplier pre-qualification exercises, handling bidding processes and maintaining supplier files and vendor databases.
Responsible for fleet management i.e. vehicle and motorcycle allocation, fueling and maintenance and will maintain up- to-date records of vehicle utilization, fuel consumption and repair records,
Prepare monthly fuel and stores consumption report for submission to the Operations Director.
The incumbent will be the secretary to the contracts committee responsible for taking minutes and storing all documents of the contracts committee proceedings.
Maintain and regularly update the ICU assets register.
Any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Requirement:
A Bachelors degree in Procurement and Logistics, Bachelor of Procurement and Supplies Management. Candidates with Bachelor's degrees in other fields in possession of Postgraduate qualifications in Logistics and Transport Management, Procurement and Supply Chain Management and valuable experience may be considered. Additional training and possession of membership of the Chattered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) is an added advantage. Experience: At least Four (4) years progressive work experience as a Logistics/Procurement Officer in a Non Governmental Organization, or busy work environment is a requirement for this position.

The World Bank’s Sustainable Development Department in the Africa Region has a wide-ranging work program that covers the environment, agriculture and rural development, social development and fragile/conflict affected states, water, urban, energy, and transport sectors. The Department has a portfolio of over 200 projects worth over $12 billion and a rapidly growing pipeline of new commitments. The Fragile States, Conflict and Social Development Unit (AFTCS) in the Sustainable Development Department plays a strategic, advisory and knowledge role for the Region’s work in these areas.

The Unit has around 40 staff and two major work streams:

support for fragile states and conflict-affected countries;

and social development, including implementation of the Bank’s social safeguards policies on resettlement and indigenous peoples. With a rapidly growing lending program, especially the increasing emphasis in relieving infrastructure constraints in the Region, there is a growing demand for safeguards work and the need to strengthen the Region’s capacity to not only assist task teams to meet their safeguard obligations but also to contribute more broadly to the design of operations that are socially sustainable and able to spread the benefits of growth more widely.

AFTCS is looking to recruit a local Social Development Specialist for the World Bank’s Kampala Office to focus on cross-cutting social development issues with a major focus on social safeguards policies. Under the supervision of the Africa Region Sector Manager for Social Development (AFTCS), the Social Development Specialist in the Kampala Office will have the following duties and responsibilities, among others:

(i) Provide direct social safeguard review and support to clients and Bank teams working on the Uganda portfolio. Where appropriate the Social Development Specialist may be asked to support task teams in other countries in Africa.

(ii) In particular, advise and guide Bank teams and client governments on the applicability of, and compliance with, Bank social safeguard policies; supervise and provide technical support to government project agencies on preparation and implementation of social safeguard components; formulate the necessary supporting documentation required internally by the Bank to process projects; and participate in periodic supervision to monitor and ensure compliance with safeguard policies throughout the project phases.

(iii) Contribute to capacity building for local government agencies, training and other dissemination efforts on social safeguards.

(iv) As the safeguard work program permits, contribute to the Unit’s broader social development agenda, including social accountability, social inclusion, youth at risk, gender, and conflict.

(v) Travel in-country regularly to support the various lending operations as needed, and if required undertake some limited international travel within the Africa Region.
